Kigu was the first company to sell Kigurumi, Japanese animal onesies, outside Asia. In 2009 we started with only 300 of these amazing animal costumes in the UK and brought the so called "animal jumpsuit" wave to life with a loud bang!
Since then our Kigu crew have been rocking their Japanese animal suits at festivals, student events, charity fund raisers and ski trips all around the UK. We’ve gained fans from babies to baby boomers who can’t get enough of their luxurious cosy feel and incredible design. Our Kigus are unique from usual onesies because of their form which hangs loosely on your body so your movement isn’t restricted whether you’re partying hard or reaching for the remote control.
The buttons mean that you can take a Kigu off in seconds, even if you wear clothes and shoes underneath. All Kigu products are made from machine washable high quality fabric with loving craftsmanship for a very long lasting onesie. When you try one on you’ll notice those small details that make a huge impact, with facial features and extras that really bring our animal costumes to life.
Head honcho Clare has been a delighted Kigu owner for years, with a Penguin onesie which goes with her on those adventurous skiing holidays, and a powder pink Rabbit with floppy bunny ears which works for a surprising number of fancy dress parties. Our Kigu crew is also going strong in France and Germany, so we’ve set up dedicated Kigu.fr and Kigudeustchland.de sites so you can shop in your own language and currency. As Kigu grows across Europe, we’ll be adding more content and features to those sites too. Our most popular onesies are also now available in Extra Small and Extra Large sizes across all three sites for when regular sizing just won’t do.
Our range of amazing animal creations has grown over the years, with animal rain ponchos (Kigoules), an animal welly boot collaboration with Juju, sleeping bags, backpacks and neck warming scarves keeping onesie lovers of all ages happy. This year we’ve expanded our onesie lineup too, with Kigurumis in Skunk, Platypus, Shark, Chameleon, Pink Unicorn, Pink Panther, Gudetama and Olaf from Frozen joining the party.
