Wearing a Kigu on your own is great, especially on a lazy Sunday afternoon in front of the telly. There’s nothing cosier. But wearing a Kigu with others is infinitely more fun. We run regular Kigu Crew parties and events where people from all over the country can get together, slip into their Kigus and get boozy!

If you’re going to a festival this summer, you’ll most likely see one of us careering around the place like an idiot. We’ve been wearing Kigus at festivals for years, but now we’re bringing the mayhem to you. We’ll be running numerous events and activities at festivals throughout the UK this year. Check the Kigu Crew blog for details or join our mailing list to have all the latest Kigu news sent straight to your inbox.

If you’ve got a good idea for a Kigu event or want to collaborate, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’ve worked with companies like Vice Magazine, Dazed and Confused, White Label UK, Secret Garden Party, Isle of Wight Festival, Beach Break Live, Red Bull, Jim Beam and Diesel, not to mention numerous independent creatives such as Jiggery Pokery, Jamie Brown and Raffle Mafia. We love any excuse to throw a bangin’ party - so get in touch!

Pandamonium - 8th March 2013

Limited to a crowd of 150 monochromatic party Pandas, Pandamonium took place in Dalston's finest Bar A Bar. Panda Kigus were given away free to the first 100 people through the door. Bamboo sticks all round! Norwood Soul Patrol (Loefah & Yella), SGT Pokes, Hijak, Klose One, Raffle Mafia and Session took care of business on the decks.

Horrors of the Deep - 27th October 2012

Horrors of the Deep was our 2012 Halloween Party. A sub-aqua feast of fear and booze. Held in the waterside Hoxton Docks - the first gas works in the UK - off Regents Canal in East London, this was a night that will live long in the memory. As always, we went all out on the decore with a full-size metal ship inside the venue. What's more, we had the world's first Hot Tub Chill Out Room complete with 360 projections.

Kigu Container Party - 28th June 2012

For Kigu Container Party, we took over three 40ft containers in the BOXPARK Shoreditch for a serious after-work, free-entry, free-beer, spill-out-onto-the-streets-type situation! Music was provided by Raffle Mafia alongside the mighty Foamo on what was one of the sunniest days of the summer. We had a Kigu Creatures drawing wall and there was even a Kigu Kidnapping as two unsuspecting guests were "kidnapped", bundled into a Mercedes, given a festival survival kit and driven straight down to LeeFest for the weekend.

Totally Tropical Kigu Party - 8th June 2012

Totally Tropical Kigu Party took place on 8th June 2012 in a secret East London warehouse space. Suitable for just 300 fancy-dressed guests, the venue was decked out with all sorts of tropical décor. Rum P-P-Pum Punch was served and every guest had a chance to win fresh hairy nuts on the Kigu Coconut Shy! Raffle Mafia and Klose One graced the decks and the Bikini Beach Band took to the stage, producing a one-off musical soundscape combining house, techno, garage and surf-rock.

Monster Raving Kigu Party - 29th October 2011

Monster Raving Kigu Party was Kigu's 2011 Halloween extravaganza, which took place in London Fields' very own Netil House. An amazing line up of DJs played on a skeleton-shaking 20K sound system. We had incredible floor-to-ceiling projections, lighting, lazers, terrifying decor, smog, UV spiders' webs, debaucherous party games, a Spook Yourself Zone, haunted photo booth and a ridiculously cheap bar.

Super Kigu Land at Secret Garden Party - 21st to 24th July 2011

Super Kigu Land was our very own 2D UV 250-man rave tent at Secret Garden Party 2011. Situated on the south side, slap bang in the middle of the action, we kept the festival rocking ‘til 6 in the morning, every morning. rackNruin, Klose One, Dusky, Kashii and a whole host of other top DJs came through. Sooo funny fun, sooo messy. Bring on next year!

Festival Pop Up Rave Ups - Various Dates Summer 2011

This summer we rolled up, popped up and instigated a rave up complete with the finest DJs, games and giveaways at Isle of Wight Festival and Beach Break Live. Klose One, Solarity, DJ Smash Hits and Bingo Banton joined us on our adventures as we prepped the Spiegeltent and Moustache Bar for an instant fancy dress bashment.

Forest Frenzy! - 7th May 2011

Forest Frenzy! was a massive animal rave-up set in epic indoor woodland, organised in conjunction with Red Stag by Jim Beam. Life-sized trees, oversized conkers and multiple projections were all used to bring the outside inside. We even erected a 110 sq m forest canopy over the entire dancefloor so that all of our animal guests could feel comfortable smashing it in their natural habitat! We played Musical Tents, we did a raffle, we had a Bugsy Malone cream pie fight and everyone had a bloody good time.

Piggy Back Race World Record Attempt - 6th November 2010

In association with Diesel, Dazed and Confused and 300 or more Kigu Crew members, we collectively smashed the official Guinness World Record for the biggest piggy back race of all time! Thanks to everyone who turned up to take part, making the event such a success. 200 handmade “Creatures of the Imagination” Kigus were given away and everybody was invited back to a nearby after-party for free drink, music and mayhem.

The Halloween Funeral March and Ghoulish Gala - 30th October 2010

This Halloween extravaganza was a two-part party beginning with a torch-lit funeral march through London’s city streets and ending with a massive indoor blowout, complete with semi-professional DJs and a free bar all night. A recipe for disaster!

The Gala venue was decorated with all manner of UV creations, illuminated by two hardcore UV cannons shining from either side of the dance floor, and prizes were awarded to the winners of Voodoo Limbo, Pass the Pumpkin and the “Spookify your Kigu” contest.

The Secret Squirrel Procession Party - 28th August 2010

To celebrate Kigu's 1st birthday, we put on a party of epic proportions - a gathering of 100 flying squirrels - the likes of which will never be seen again! Everyone lucky enough to get tickets received a free Flying Squirrel Kigu to wear and we laid on enough free alcohol to satisfy the biggest boozers in the animal kingdom.

All 100 partygoers, ourselves included, met at a secret location, donned our Flying Squirrel outfits and proceeded together 1 mile to the party venue – the Secret Squirrel Clubhouse. Curated in association with the master craftswomen at Jiggery Pokery, the Clubhouse was decked out with smashable acorn piñatas, a squirrel photo wall and trophy cabinet. Long live the Squirrel King and Queen!
